How to Reach Us
The Munich Trade Fair Centre is located on the eastern fringe of the city and is well connected to the local transport infrastructure.
Arriving by plane
Munich’s Franz-Josef-Strauss International Airport has excellent international and domestic flight connections. From the airport there are several options for your journey.
A regular shuttle bus service to and from Munich Airport will run during the exhibition. A one-way trip takes approx. 45 minutes. Tickets are available via the Shuttle Online Ticket Shop or on the shuttle (cash only).
The station for the S-Bahn lines S1 and S8 is located directly below the Central Area of Munich Airport with departures to the city centre every 10 mins. Depending on the route the journey takes between 45 and 60 minutes and involves up to 2 transfers.
The fixed-price for a one-way ride costs €59 and takes about 35 minutes, depending on traffic. Please note: This offer is only valid on the shortest distance in kilometres between the airport and the exhibition grounds. Taxis are located in front of the terminals and at the East entrance of the Munich Trade Fair Centre.
Arriving by Car

Low Emission Zone
Please note: The Munich Trade Fair Centre is NOT in the low emission zone.
On 1 October 2008 a low emission zone was introduced in Munich. Only vehicles that fulfil the EU exhaust standards are permitted to enter the city centre and require an official permit (disc-shaped sticker) that must be displayed on every vehicle’s windshield. These regulations also apply to visitors from abroad.
The sticker is only required if visitors travel through the city centre, within the ring road ‘Mittlerer Ring’. Please note that the Mittlerer Ring itself is not part of the low emission zone.
If visitors require a permit (will incur a fee), please contact DEKRA on the details below:
